Conference & Travel Funding

Conference attendance

General information

FAZIT Foundation (in German only)
Postdocs are eligible to apply for travel grants during their postdoctoral lecturing qualification phase. As a rule, grants will only be awarded if the costs incurred cannot be covered by other means (e.g. parents/spouse/institution). Thus, a financial emergency situation is required which would render the habilitation-related traveling impossible without the grant.

Internal University Research Funding
Within JGU’s funding line, the Internal University Research Funding supports the active participation in international conferences. Postdoctoral research associates with positions up to W1 are eligible for application. A maximum of two applications per person and year may be submitted.

DAAD conference and lecture tour program (in German only)
The program promotes the active participation of researchers in conferences abroad as well as lecture tours in foreign countries. Promoted researchers and graduate students, who are integrated into the German scientific system and whose center of life is in Germany, can apply. You will find detailed information on the application requirements, application submission and funding amount in the DAAD’s information sheet on the approval of grants for attending conferences abroad.
